The IFAC Workshop on Programmable Devices and Systems (PDS) started in the middle of the nineties in Poland. The organisers believe that in the area of programmable devices and systems there are some problems specific to them, which sufficiently justifies the decision to organise the PDS 2000 IFAC Workshop.
