Together, they raised his four and her two sons and formed a solid marriage and business partnership. An electrician by trade, Jerry saw life as going his way, until he began to lose muscle strength. He became unable to raise his arms, use his legs to support his body or hold up his head. In 2003, Jerry Weygandt was diagnosed with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrigas disease.
